lyrics
When I was a child
I thought I could touch the wind
I would put my hand in the sky and say
Blow blow blow wind blow
Blow all my worries away
and let all the pretty ones stay
Today I saw your face
I thought I had something to say
But when I looked at you everything blew away
I blame the wind
It blows so strong
It wiped all my thoughts away
Or maybe it's your face, so beautiful it blew all my words away
Blow blow blow wind blow
Blow all my worries away
and let all the pretty ones stay
You are the one that blows my mind away
When I was a child
I thought I could touch the wind
And I'll tell you something
I still can touch the wind

Recorded by Ian Carter in London in Spring 2018
Original songs written and performed by Bity Booker
Psych-folk with a late 60s / early 70s flavour. If you like Nick Drake or Fairport Convention you will enjoy this. It's an observation of change and a celebration of a hazy, high summer harvest. The music transports you to the moorlands and mill towns of Northern England. Dark and open and embellished with beautiful melodies and thoughtful lyrics.
This is album of the year 2021 for me. distant planet

I usually haaaate autotune voices, but done this way it's brilliant. When enough craftsmanship is used. Hard to pick a favourite from this great album. One of my favourites of the year! soundofperpetualastonishment
