lyrics
With a coin in my pocket
A trumpet in my hand
I am travelling with my pony
to a far happy land
Where the flowers smell like spring
And everyone sings songs of love
Everytime I travel far
I bring a little coin
My trumpet, pony and I
But nothing seems to change
Things stay the same
There is no one to blame
But me and my coin
The road is long but I am strong
I hold on to my coin
Everytime I travel far
I bring a little coin
My trumpet, pony and I
But nothing seems to change
Things stay the same
There is no one to blame
But me and my coin
At the end of the journey
Me and my pony
We have arrived in this land
And my trumpet plays the song
Everytime I travel far
I bring a little coin
My trumpet, pony and I
But nothing seems to change
Things stay the same
There is no one to blame
But me and my coin
With a coin in my pocket
A trumpet in my hand
I am travelling with my pony
to a far happy land

Psych-folk with a late 60s / early 70s flavour. If you like Nick Drake or Fairport Convention you will enjoy this. It's an observation of change and a celebration of a hazy, high summer harvest. The music transports you to the moorlands and mill towns of Northern England. Dark and open and embellished with beautiful melodies and thoughtful lyrics.
This is album of the year 2021 for me. distant planet

Delicately constructed, understatedly intricate, and profoundly moving folk music from Scottish singer-songwriter Stephen McAll. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 26, 2021
I usually haaaate autotune voices, but done this way it's brilliant. When enough craftsmanship is used. Hard to pick a favourite from this great album. One of my favourites of the year! soundofperpetualastonishment
